Pap`s Place in Ackerman

Well.... It was a let down. The cook came out looking and dressed like he just came from running a marathon if u can picture Cevy Chase running a marathon. They had a older man guarding the desert table so I was afraid to get more than one dessert because Barnet Fife was on guard. The place needed a good cleaning and the staff was more concerned with the ballgame not the customers.

Best catfish buffet I have ever had...and iv been all over United States. The staff is so friendly. It's like eating at Grandma's house.

I've been to Pap's Place with my family since I was a little girl and I have never had a bad experience! Love it! Great food and great people.

Very disappointed!! Especially for the price I paid!! Called in a large order and when I went to pick it up I waited about 5mins for them to finish making it, drive half a mile back to my house, and the food was already cold, the fries were hard, the steak had a lot of seasoning which made it taste horrible, and chicken strips were overcooked!! This was my first and last time ever eating here..

Delicious food and kind people:No one was bothered by my three-ring circus of toddler quadruplets and a service dog. We will definitely eat at Pap's again.

Always on point. Treat you like family. Seems like you're eating at Grandma's house.

This place is amazing. The food here is the best I have ever tasted. The prices are affordable and they have the best staff ever. This place is even good for adults that have children. This place is very kid friendly. Like they say were not here to rob you we just wanna fill your belly !!

It's the perfect place if you like good ol fashioned country cooking..and amazing desserts!!

The Food is Excellent Here and they have just about anything You could eat on a All You can eat Seafood Buffet. The Customer Service is Excellent here

The best fish I've had so for!

When I come home to visit from Oregon, this is one of the main places to come to eat.

In the month of May we visited the town where my parents where from. To plan our 2019 family reunion. Someone in town told me about the Paps. I met a gentleman up the street from the place and he informed me that the place was closed at the time and opened at 4pm. We returned after 4pm. We were not disappointed. They had an awesome staff, friendly and courteous, great atmosphere and food was to die for. When ever I’m in the vicinity I will be there.

I love Paps' Place. I met him at Mary Lous Biscuits a few months ago. He is very important man and his restaurant has great food. We have celebrated many family holidays here and enjoyed quit a few meals together.

The food was plentiful and very tasty but it seemed maybe the staff was tired or just off their game. They weren't trying to make customers feel welcomed. ???

They have the BEST CATFISH I've ever tasted.... The Best!!!!!!!!!

I love this place it has all kinds of good foods in here. And the people that works here has great manners and excellent customer service...

Went for my birthday supper!! Don't get back home as often as I like but every time I do, i will be carrying on Pwe's birthday wishes of eating there every year!!! Amazing food, amazing service, and thanks so much for helping take out pics this year Mrs. Connie!! Y'all rock!!

I went there for the first time tonight. It was absolutely delicious. If you want some good southern cooking is the best place to go. Go see for yourself you won’t regret it!

My husband had a class reunion here. The food is good. I was having intermittent swallowing difficulty until surgery. I was having difficulty swallowing that night. I asked a server if I could have a carry out dish to take what food I had on my plate. She said I would have to talk to Cherie Salley, one of the owners. Cherie acted like I was asking to get half the food off the buffett to take with me. I explained to her about my swallowing difficulty. This is not someone I never met before. Cherie and my sister and mother were good friends before they passed away. We used to all go to church together. I did not like the feeling that I had to beg for an empty carry out plate to take the food I had on my plate home with me. I felt insulted.

The atmosphere is really nice. The food is good. The staff is very polite and attentive to their customers' needs.

When they charge about $15 for a buffett, the food should be much much better than Pap's Place.

Food and service are always excellent here. Great buffet selections. Been coming here for 25 years and have never had a bad experience, and have always left full as a tick.

Most the food was cold,not very friendly except for the old lady. They didn't have anything like they used too! Very disappointed,and they have went up to 16 dollars for a buffet. I won't be back.

Delicious food and friendly service. Good variety of items on the buffet. Definitely try the chicken and dumplings. Hard to choose which dessert to try - so we tried 4 of them and they were all amazing. The banana split pie and the coconut cake were the best though :) 10/10 recommend
